BASIC INFO

Hirschmann BRS30-2004OOOO-TTDY99HHSESXX.X.XX Extended-Temperature Twenty-Four-Port Network Planning with Copper Device Ports and Removable Optical Uplinks

Hirschmann BRS30-2004OOOO-TTDY99HHSESXX.X.XX is the BRS30-20TX/4SFP-EEC configuration in the Hirschmann BOBCAT range. This EEC configuration provides twenty Fast Ethernet copper interfaces and four 100/1000 Mbit/s SFP slots in a metal housing. Its -40 to +70 °C operating range is relevant to cabinet environment selection, while the required optical modules remain a separate part of the link and purchasing specification.

Plan the cabinet around the metal variant

The listed enclosure dimensions are 123 × 140 × 115 mm. Use the exact current drawing when planning a populated DIN rail, and allow additional space for RJ45 plugs, optical patch leads and terminal access. The standard-temperature housing should not be assumed to share every mechanical detail.

Do all connected components have the EEC range?

Not automatically. Check the selected SFP modules, remote equipment and other installed components against the environmental requirement. The switch rating describes this device, not every part of a fiber connection. Confirm supported optics and the complete link budget before committing the module list to the purchase order.

Define the purpose of each uplink

Four optical slots can serve different network destinations, but their use should follow the approved topology and software requirements. Record operating speed, fiber characteristics and the remote interface for each planned connection. Avoid inferring a ring or recovery performance from the presence of four slots alone; engineering must verify the actual design.

Request an EEC switch with a transparent accessory scope

Give HKXY the full order reference, quantity and destination, with the required SFP list and cabinet environment. State whether modules are to be supplied with the switch, and identify any mechanical drawing or documentation requirements before acceptance.
